#17 Belgium

My first visit to Belgium was a flying visit - on my bus tour around Europe, we drove through on the way from Amsterdam to London. I went back the next year to have a proper look. I went to Brussels, the capital of Europe, home to a lot of Euro bureaucrats and some mussels. The centre of the city is lovely, as are the freshytl made waffles. Yum!

A few years after, I spent a lovely weekend in Bruges. It's a truly beautiful city with all the canals and old buildings. It is, unfortunately, overrun with tourists in the summer.
