#29 Greece

Yes, Greece really is as beautiful as all the photos make out. The light has an amazing shimmering quality. The buildings are all white and bold primary colours. Sure, it's totally swarming with tourists, but for some reason, this doesn't seem to be a problem. Each island has it's own unique quality and special feature.

Athens is also an interesting place. It has the old Hellenic monuments, such as the Acropolis, but the city is also alive with small markets, terrible traffic and amazing food.
