#26 Finland

Finland has much in common with the other northern European countries. It's clean, well run and full of people who like to drink! I visited for a weekend in summer and it was great. Lovely warm weather and people swimming in the harbour. The odd thing I remember is the summer ritual that takes place by the harbour every summer. Everyone brings their carpets out to the harbour to wash them. There are special areas with big poles for washing the carpets and then letting them dry. Very cool.
