#4 China

My first trip to China was in 1999. I was all set to go to New Zealand to do a bit of skiing. I then notices a rather cheap fare to China. New Zealand or China? Hmmm... China was the answer!

The first trip, I just went to Shanghai, with a side trip to Suzhou. It was truly amazing. I went back again in 2005 and saw a bit more. That trip, I went to Shanghai again, Beijing and Xi'An. Shanghai was almost unrecognisable due to the massive changes taking place. Beijing was also in flux due to the rapidly approaching Olympics. Xi'An was still an industrial city out in the boonies.
