#35 Thailand

The best thing about Thailand is the people. They're so friendly, helpful and smiling. Nothing is ever too much trouble. I'm always amazed at how well they deal with obnoxious tourists! A close second is the amazing food - cheap, fresh and tasty. Then there's the scenery. Wow. The beaches are amazing, the reefs spectacular and the temples plentiful and ornate. Go there now.

I've been there a few times now. The first trip was to Ao Nang, which is a relatively peaceful, seldom visited town up the coast from Krabi. Another visit was to the hustle and bustle of Bangkok - an amazing experience. Most recently, I spent a few days at Phuket. It's chav tourist central, but I still managed to have a good time and visit some amazing beaches.
